The number one question I receive from brides is "What is the best wedding hair accessory for my bridal hairstyle?" There are no hard and fast rules but there are some guidelines to follow that will help you choose the perfect bridal hairpiece for your hairstyle. Following are some of the most popular styles with suggestions, but please remember you are always more than welcome to send me an email and I will personally answer all your questions:)
Another elegant look to keep your hair back from your face and add volume to the top of your style is to wear a headband or hairvine. We are currently obsessed with pearl headbands and love the chic minimalistic look they create. Again because we are seeing both the headband and earrings at the same angle consider the sizing of the headband next to your earrings, they shouldn't compete with each other. If you are a destination bride or will not have the opportunity to do a bridal trial, a set of hairpins is a great option and will allow your stylist to try some different looks. The pins can be lined up in a row to look like a comb or scattered around an updo like this romantic bun by Emilia Kuczma-Porebska of Calgary. "Bree" hairpins. Photo: Milton Photography
I hope this was helpful and provided a some guidance when choosing your hair accessory. If you would like me to send some accessory recommendations please email pics of your gown and hair inspo and I will send 3 or more ideas back. To book an accessory appointment via zoom or in our Calgary Showroom, please email hello@joannabisleydesigns.com and I will get in touch shortly.
